Endlich! Die erste, größere Hilfslieferung ist eingetroffen!

Seit längerer Zeit haben wir uns darum bemüht, eine Warenlieferung von
14 Paketen mit Bekleidung, Spielsachen und den von Jörg Scheiderbauer
und der Fa. Ghost gespendeten Mountainbikes (in Mofu sind Fahrräder
wichtigstes Verkehrsmittel!) nach Tansania zu schaffen. Matthias
Schlenz, Speditionskaufmann der Fa. ABX, hat sich zusammen mit Eckart
Adam und seiner Frau Carmen Bernhard unermüdlich dafür eingesetzt, dass
sämtliche Papiere, die für eine gemeinnützige Lieferung von deutscher
wie von tansanischer Seite benötigt wurden, komplett vorlagen. Per
Luftfracht traf die Lieferung, finanziert von der Firma ABX Logistics,
am 25.11.07 in Dar Es Salaam ein und konnte dort vom bischöflichen
Sekretariat für Wenseslaus in Empfang genommen werden. Überglücklich
meldete dieser per eMail die Ankunft der Lieferung:
Dear Carmen, dear Eckart and dear all friends in Offenburg,
Today I am so happy to inform you that I have received all the 14 packages as you sent them. They arrived at Dar Airport on 25.11 and yesterday 27.11 they were collected from the air port and now they are at our procure office at Msimbazi Dar es salaam. All the work was done by our office at the procure and things went very fast. I arrived yesterday evening and saw things were already in the office. The amount used was: Tsh. 233,000 = Euro 137.3 This amount includes: clearing charges, payment to the agent and transportation to and from the airport x4 times. The exact Airport charges are about Tsh.183,000 = Euro 107.8 I think this is not too much and this is without tax exemption. Follow up for tax exemption is very expensive because it would demand me to go to Morogoro town twice or more and this would have costed me a lot.
So Carmen I am very happy that things have been successful and I hope every body in your parish will be happy to hear that things have reached me at the end, so easily and fast. At the end of the week I shall be going back to Mofu. I took some of the money you sent me last time to pay for the airport and other charges. Wishing you all the best is yours sincerely in christ.
